The Children’s TherAplay Foundation

The Children’s TherAplay Foundation

Founded in 2001, The Children’s TherAplay Foundation (INDIANA) is one of the few clinics in the country dedicated to providing physical and occupational therapies on horseback for children with special needs.

Our therapists combine a sensory-rich, child-centered clinic with hippotherapy – the movement of horses – to provide carefully graded motor, sensory, and neurological input.

Each week we are honored to help nearly 150 children with diagnoses such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delay, and more grow stronger and more independent through equine-assisted PT and OT.

Awards & Recognitions

In honor of his tenth horsiversary at Children’s TherAplay, therapy horse Rocky was recognized by the Tony Stewart Foundation, Indianapolis Mayor’s Advisory Council on Disability, and United Way of Central Indiana for his participation in an estimated 4,500+ equine-assisted PT and OT treatments.
