Tickets Now Available For 2016 Championship Celebration

ROSSBURG, Ohio (December 19) – Eldora Speedway’s 63rd season of racing will be feted Saturday, January 21, 2017 when the top drivers from the DIRTcar UMP Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, Eldora Stocks and Sunoco American Late Model Series are honored in the legendary Eldora Ballroom. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with ceremonies beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will be a big night for Ohio drivers, as each champion hails from the Buckeye State. 2016 TSF Grant Partners Announced

The Tony Stewart Foundation announced its TSF Grant Partners for 2016 awarding $408,000 to 56 outstanding organizations serving children, animals and drivers injured in the sport of racing. Congress Passes 21st Century Cures Act, Boosting Research and Easing Drug Approvals

Congress passed sweeping legislation Wednesday that boosts funding for medical research, eases the development and approval of experimental treatments and reforms federal policy on mental health care. The 94 to 5 Senate vote Wednesday followed a 392 to 26 House vote last week. The bill, known as the 21st Century Cures Act, now heads to the desk of President Obama, who praised the bill Wednesday and said he would sign it. The bill provides for $4.8 billion in new funding for the National Institutes of Health; of that, $1.8 billion is reserved for the “cancer moonshot” launched by Vice President Biden to accelerate research in that field.
