GRANT DEADLINES

NEW: TSF Full Grant Application Procedure Changed Effective January 1, 2010

Due to the sheer volume of grant applications being submitted to the Tony Stewart Foundation, we have immediately changed the process ONLY for Full Funding Grant Applications. Submitting application for Event Sponsorship or when requesting an item for Auction or Raffle remain the same.

We understand the time commitment required for completing our Full Funding Application and, therefore, to provide better service to non-profit organizations, we have replaced the “Full Funding Grant Application” with a 4-page “Permission-to-Submit Form”. This form may be submitted electronically or printed & mailed. Attachments and support documents are not required or necessary with submission of this “Permission-to-Submit Form”. Please print a copy of your completed form for your records before submitting by email. CLICK HERE for the Permission-to-Submit Form.

Each “Permission-to-Submit Form” will be reviewed upon receipt within 4 weeks. Your organization will be notified by email or by phone whether (a) the program/project has been accepted to receive a Full Funding Grant Application, or (b) the program/project is not eligible.

Organizations invited to submit the Full Funding Grant Application will be provided the appropriate documents to complete the application process.

THE GRANT CYCLE CHANGED FOR 2010

An important change was effective January 1, 2010 in that grants will be awarded only two times per year. For the first cycle, organizations must submit completed applications no later than MAY 1 with grants announced on or before June 30. The second cycle requires a submission deadline of OCTOBER 30 with grants announced on or before December 31. Again, only those organizations submitting the initial Permission-to-Submit-Form will be invited to submit the Full Grant Application.

Whether your organization is seeking a monetary grant for program, requesting event sponsorship or requesting an item for auction, a completed application form must be submitted to the foundation. Deadlines for event and auction items are stated on the individual application form.

A grant application submitted after one cycle has closed will be considered during the next cycle. A list of awarded organizations is posted on the website on the specified award dates.

Please note that the foundation can only support qualified charitable 501(c)(3) organizations.

Due to the sheer volume of requests, individuals are not eligible to receive funding. To learn whether your organization is eligible for consideration, please review Qualifications. You should also review FAQ's.

All grant applications must be RECEIVED (not postmarked) by the deadline dates listed below. Materials are not to be sent via email attachment(s) or by facsimile.
