Pure Michigan 400: Locked In

(photo source: Tony Stewart Official Store Facebook Page) Started: 15th Finished: 21st, 2 laps down. Points: 26th (420 points, which is 93 points ahead of 31st place Regan Smith which I am being told means we are locked into the top 30 meaning we are locked into the chase. Oh and we are 2 points behind 25th place Aric Almirola). I have to start off by saying it says something about the quality of the national broadcast coverage when someone who was watching the race asks me on Facebook what happened to Tony and why did he finish 21st, two laps down.  I watched the national broadcast so I know her pain- he was rarely mentioned during the broadcast even when he was on [...]

Bristol Night Race

(photo source: zimbio.com/Sean Gardner/Getty Images North America) Started: 27th Finished: 30th (29 laps down) Points: 400 (6 points behind 26th place Aric Almirola, 85 points ahead of 31st) Intro Song: Better Man by Pearl Jam, which is apropos in my eyes. Tony stated it best after qualifying when he said “It’s going to be a long (expletive) day tomorrow.” Unfortunately I don’t think he was talking about the weather delays- which were so plentiful it seemed to me that the race at Bristol was interrupting the rain instead of the other way around.  The race on Saturday night was delayed by rain but did start on Saturday night only to be stopped after 48 laps because of rain.  It was rescheduled [...]

A Whole Mess of Loose Lugnuts- All Tony Related

(photo source: Tony Stewart Facebook Page) So I haven’t done a Loose Lugnuts post in what seems like forever…as many of you might know I traveled to Indiana for the Brickyard 400 and traveling like that and then rushing back to my job can kind of get overwhelming as I play catch up and unfortunately the one thing that suffers is probably the one thing I love to do the most- and that is write (both here and elsewhere).  A lot of these “lugnuts” are items that I am sure many of you have seen before because a lot of it contains items that were coverage from the Brickyard (and yes I am STILL putting together my brickyard post- it’s [...]

Pennsylvania 400

For now let’s talk about Tony’s race.  (photo source: Tony Stewart Official Store Facebook/HHP/Rusty Jarrett) Let’s me start off by saying I worked on Monday and was solo girl at work on top of just having to work so I was unable to follow the [...]
